According to multiple reports, LSU reserve quaterback Rickie Collins is expected to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Collins, a former four-star prospect from Baton Rouge (Woodlawn), was originally committed to Purdue during his high school recruitment but flipped and signed with the Tigers in 2023.

The redshirt freshman appeared in just four games over the last two seasons.

I wish it was Swann making this announcement. I don’t care how much experience he has from Vandy. He barely kept some of those passes in the stadium Saturday night

Not super surprising. Nuss is coming back I’m sure. 2nd year starters at lsu tend to ball out

Ricky, Bryce is not coming. It looks like you are the next in line.

Nope. He was not put in the OU game when Nuss was hurt. AJ Swann is now 2nd string

I heard this from a player's parent last week.

When Swann came in i figured it was because Collins was going to transfer. Probably means Nuss is coming back

Maybe he is transferring because they put Swann in over him.

Red shirt Freshman? Was he expecting PT?

Gross. Swann is abysmal. Nuss sucks too. Collins and Hurley should have been the two battling for QB1 next year

Collins literally couldn't best them out. What logic or reasoning do you have to suggest that he'd somehow be better than both?

What’s your evidence that he was one of the top 2?

I wonder if BK already knew this and didn’t bring Collins in last night when Nuss got hurt so he could keep his redshirt

He heard all this talk of doomsday if Nuss would go down like we didn’t have another reliable qb on the roster. Godspeed RC!

Not surprised, more to come, sit back and watch them pack up and leave Red Stick.

Shouldn't have brought Swann in. Rather have seen Collins play some real snaps. Good luck to him. GEAUX TIGERS!

Swann looked bad but the coaches watch them everyday and thought he was the better option so that should say something.

I think we all knew this was coming as soon as Swann came in and not Collins. I would have rather seen Collins come in but honestly he was never going to play here with Nuss coming back it seems and then we have the kid in the 2027 class. Rohan Davey coached him I believe am I wrong?

Crowded QB room? Someone else coming in?

Dude. Seriously? These 4-5 star QB’s didn’t suddenly forget how to play and are not riding pine for two years. LSU has QB development issues stretching decades. LSU fans call it too young, but we have to bet out of the two yr starting QB business to truly compete
