Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding joined The Pat McAfee Show on Friday and joked about LSU’s injury report ahead of Saturday’s showdown in Oxford.
Golding, who spent three-and-a-half seasons working under Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss, said Kiffin texted him before the injury report was released to tell him LSU’s quarterback was out.
Golding wasn’t exactly buying it.
“I got the text before the report went out from Lane: ‘Hey, our quarterback’s out.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah buddy, I bet he is.’ I’ve been around a lot of Wednesdays with you, man, for three and a half years. … I was like, ‘Yeah man, see you Saturday.’”
