It's also kind of weird that the only person I can think of who has made a historical epic and cast every person properly was Mel Gibson. Sure, there were plenty of historical inaccuracies in Apocalypto, but that cast and them speaking an indigenous language really made for an engrossing experience
These same people criticize the whitewashing of old Hollywood harshly, but doing the opposite now is no big deal. You can’t have it both ways.

Also, Helen of Troy might be a fictional character, but she may also have been based on a real person. For millenia the illiad was treated as historical truth, later the whole thing was treated as myth. The more recent discovery of the ruins of Troy have put the whole thing in a gray area. It seems like most historians agree that Troy existed and at one point in the distant past was completely destroyed. The fantastical elements are surely fiction, but the basic story may well have occurred.

I am of the opinion that actors should fit the character. So Genghis Khan shouldn’t be played by John Wayne and Helen of Troy shouldn’t be played by Lupita Nyong’o.

People need to lighten up. These are fricking movies. Harry Potter and SW are my favorite film franchises yet you won’t see me getting defensive if someone shits on them.

Anakin has a clear and defined character arch that’s efficiently told by Lucas without giving too much away. In Episode 4, 5, and 6, much of his story is told only through Obi Wan and we don’t even see him as a character until the very end when Luke takes his mask off. Say what you want about George Lucas, but that’s a pretty damn good character arch Yes, the prequels were flawed as hell but they at least had a vision and filled in the backstory that was elaborated on by Obi Wan in A New Hope and ROTJ

So was the Fellowship of the Ring dude. Your arguments are mind boggling

It’s a high fantasy story that requires you to have read all of the books to even have the slightest understanding of what’s going in on. If you have never even touched the books, it’s super hard to follow.

I’ve never read the books and think it’s the greatest film trilogy of all time. Not sure wtf you’re talking about

I’d argue that Star Wars and HP are far more enjoyable to watch because those are simpler stories to follow.

Have you considered the possibility that you’re just dumb?

Sounds like a Taylor Sheridan Star Wars series
Cool, so it’s an Arabic name that is now popular in India. Doesn’t change the fact that the actor is Michael’s nephew and not Indian. I have no idea what point you're trying to make. A name is just a name and the Jackson’s pick weird ones.

Michael called one of his kids blanket for crying out loud. Doesn't mean the dude is made of polyester

ETA: I’m just remembering that Jermaine has another kid named Jermajesty, which is just funny and I wanted to mention

That is an Indian name. Brother.

Jaafar is an Arabic name and his father is Michael’s brother. Mom is Colombian. He’s not the slightest bit Indian. What a weird hill to die on

Also the guy who plays Michael is an indian dude.

What move are you talking about? Jermaine’s son plays Michael in this movie

What? That's not true at all. He 100% said Brett.

Yeah, he’s says Brett. I’ve heard people try to say he says Brad on that line, but I’ve watched the movie way too many times and have only ever heard him say Brett. He does elongate it and is mid-eating though, which I guess makes it sound weird
The one where Tony kills Christopher

I know about the alternate ending, but the theatrical release had him blow himself up with a grenade. A lot of movies have alternate endings, but I can't think of any where the alternate ending is canon.

I guess they'll retell the ending of the 1st in the beginning of the 2nd? Most people likely don't know the alternate ending exists
Sounds like some Palpatine returned shite. Will Smith blew himself up with a grenade at the end of the first movie.

That was incredibly unfunny trailer. Meet the Parents is the only good one out of the trilogy anyway. The 2nd and 3rd are horrible.

There was a 3rd one? Also this movie looks retarded
Lord of the Rings - I’ve watch The Fellowship most by far, but I’ve seen them all several times.

Tarantino - Pulp Fiction has the most, but I’ve also watched reservoir dogs and Inglorious Basterds a lot.

The Dark Knight
Shawshank
Godfather part 1
Old School
Judgement Day

I’m sure there are others, but those came to mind first
