During ESPN's 'Get Up', Paul Finebaum was asked about LSU's season opener vs. Clemson and his expectation for the game.

Finebaum thinks that Clemson will win the game and said, "Life is going to become very miserable quickly for Brian Kelly."

Well it seems that the only miserable start Paul is your predictions on all your picks and predictions. Maybe you should think about the big R.

I think LSU has as much a chance of winning as Clemson does. But would it kill us to schedule these kind of games in week two? That seemed to work pretty well in 2019- the last time LSU won an opener. Once again, we open the year with one of the toughest match ups, putting our backs against the wall, immediately....

I’m not worried by Clemson’s football team. Paul is wrong about most things and I’m not surprised about his pick to win. Clemson can rarely beat South Carolina and they are normally horrible. Just saying… don’t pay much attention to what Paul spouts out of that big mouth.

That is why you play the game. It all boils down to preparation. Who is the most physically and psychologically prepared for the win. LSU has elite athletes and Clemson has elite athletes. The question is who is most prepared and who wants it the most. A 75% talent who gives 110% will beat a 95% talent who plays with 89% effort every time. The 110% effort will demoralize the 99% talent, mentally, and reduce him to a 79% effort. It is a psychological principle of war. Give me 22 Jacob Hester attitudes and Clemson does not have a chance.

Paul is lazy. He has no clue about our defense or the TE/WR group. All he knows is that the left guard is a little iffy. He doesn't know Clempson has no quality depth, we do. I think our def is going to decide this game, not our OL. We have a 3 deep rotation with is group, and then you have to have an answer for Perkins and Stffler. Clempson doesn't have quality DBs - we do. Do some homework , Paul. BK is due for a win anyway.

If what he says comes true, I am asking my realtor to put out feelers for that house on lakeshore drive.

FB craps on and casts doubt on LSU every chance he gets. This is nothing new. He did same thing in 2019! Predicted us to be upset virtually every week until LSU was hoisting the title.

Then he said he knew back at the first of the season that LSU had a great team

Regarding CBK’s opening record, what do you think @LSUFootball record would be in season openers if they’d had Bama’s schedule?

Utah State 22 home
Middle TN 23 home

I hate this matchup. We’ve looked like shite in every opener since 2020. And yes, a loss is a huge blight on the season. Little margin for error after that.

YOu think Clemson has been looking good in their openers? They lost last year to Ga 34-3...with the same QB as this year. They lost the previous opener before that 28-7 to DUKE, with the same QB as this year.

Lose to Clemson is very possible, but so is going 10-2 and playing in SEC champ game. My prediction. Geaux tigers

Paul just reads headlines and doesn't actually look at any stats. Clemson Defense was incredibly average last year.

Same personnel as last year, aside from Will Heldt. New DC, but we know better than anyone that a new DC does not transform a defense overnight. I expect Clemson's D to be good but not dominant in this game. LSU will be able to score and move the ball.

Let's see, I think Finebaum is an ESPN dumbass just like the rest of that college football coverage since ESPN makes themselves the story. Who cares what they they think. But Clemson is favored at home and have a 2 time National Championship coach. We are the underdog and we don't even no what this defense or offensive line will look like. They do have an elite dline and this will be the first time this oline has even played a game together. Out of the last 5 first game losses, all of those games should have been wins before this one. Mississippi State at home, a weak arse UCLA team, FSU twice once in New Orleans, and a USC team we should have beat. Clemson better than all of those.

You just said ESPN sucks, yet you are swallowing their rhetoric that they have a top D Line, which has the same players that finished 85th in the nation against the run last year. Will they improve? I'm sure. Will they be elite? Very doubtful to make THAT jump.
