William Hauser-USA TODAY Sports
Odell Beckham Jr. participated New York Giants mandatory minicamp this week after missing organized team activities (OTAs) over the previous three weeks and had a message from his critics in the media.

The former LSU star conveyed that message with these cleats:

Per NJ.com:
quote:

Beckham wore white cleats with the names of several news outlets printed in black, including ESPN, TMZ, the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal. The names were either X-ed out or covered by the word "Shhhhh!!!" in red ink.

After practice, Beckham Jr. met with the media and explained why he skipped OTA workouts:

Man why all the hate on Odell? He is a former Tiger! Just because he doesn't act the exact way you want people to act doesn't mean you have to hate on him. What does he do? He has fun with what he does. He is a 24 year old, early in his NFL career who does some silly shite.

As much as I hate the media, I still hate whiney NFL crybabies even more. Thanks for embarrassing the Giants and LSU.

I must be the minority. I never see the hate this guy gets. IMO he's doing nothing wrong. He wasn't out being dumb, he was still working out one on one while an nonmandatory OTAs were going on. What's the big deal?

I don't remember him being such a douche at LSU, was he always this way or did "The Catch" ruin him?

So true, we need to put in another community organizer in the White House to fix the 20 trillion dollar debt, not some successful businessman!

I may be in the minority here (as a non LSU fan) but I like ODB. He plays with passion and won't back down. NFL needs more guys like him. War Eagle.

Agree. Guy has played consistent the last three years as one of the best in the league. Who cares that he let the media know what he thinks about their ridiculous criticism about him showing for OTA's. They made their opinion known, and now he made his known.

Good for Odell, he is working on getting a contract extension. He is currently being paid 1.8million a year which is a joke for what he brings to the table as one of the top WR in the league. No reason to show up to a voluntary work out and get hurt and lose money in the process.
