LSU Suspended Running Back Trey Holly Has Enrolled At Southern

Former LSU running back Trey Holly has enrolled at Southern and joined the football team as a walk-on, according to reports.

Holly was previously serving an indefinite suspension from the LSU football program after he was arrested in connection with a shooting that took place on Feb. 9, 2024, in Union Parish that injured two people.

Holly was awaiting trial, set to begin on July 7, but it had to be postponed because the air conditioning at the courthouse in Union Parish went out, according to reports. He faces one felony count of illegal use of a weapon or dangerous instrumentality.

The former four-star prospect from Union Parish rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown during his true freshman season in 2023.

It’s the right move. Plays at home and will likely start or be heavy in the rotation while he gets his legal figured out. LSU had long moved on. This year will be the Caden Durham and Harlem Berry show. Those two are just too good to keep off the field. Possibly we see Kaleb Jackson in goal line and some short yardage situations but this is the other two’s jobs to lose.

frickin Brian Kelly once again letting 1 get away bc he need to impose “discipline” lololol the southern coach is a damn good man he took him on his team. Kelly needs to wake up and be like Urban Meyer this is a prestigious football powerhouse in the SEC not Notre Dame. I see Kelly definitely covering up what happened at Notre Dame and not to mention what he didn’t do which is be there for Greg Brooks smh!!!

We will see how long this last. Just opens the door for Mr. Berry who I think will play a lot if Jackson blows his chance again. Berry is a damn good RB.
