Which is why we can go to a 24 team playoff and prevent these young men from having to wait so much time between games.

As always, the traditional new years day bowls control and ruin everything. Their demand to have their games be quarterfinals and be played on New Years Eve/Day creates the silly December bye weeks. Have the first round played the second week in Dec, play the quarters the next week, and the semis on Jan 1 and the championship game 10 days later. It creates a ~10 day break between quarters and semis and semis and Finals allowing rest while not making the best teams sit on their arse for a month.

They get paid a shite ton of money to play. They can play according to what’s best for the profit margin, no? You can’t have this shite both ways.

I can say first hand college players have zero desire to play this many games nor care that much about a ship. NFL is the goal.

This is why the playoffs shouldn't be expanded to 16 teams. The schedule is already fuked up with 12.

Agreed.

Why can high school and the nfl can play playoff games every week. College football has 8 weeks from the end of the season to the championship game…..lmao. P

Because the NCAA and CFP bent over to the demands of the big major bowls to play their games on New Years and to have four of them (the quarterfinals).

Another stellar move by Disney.

Everyone agrees with you coach. What will it take to get a reasonable playoff schedule?
