Zy will definitely make the Seahawks roster. His character and work ethic will be unmatched and may not be a starter in year 1 but will definitely be a contributor on ST

Vitello maybe a douche but you can’t deny the job he’s done at Tennessee is as good as any coach in recent memory

Depends on how each game is going. If we’re up a 2 or 3 runs after 5th or 6th inning, then Cowan or Evans come in in relief and TBA Sunday hopefully with the series already 2-0. If we down a few runs then maybe we save Evans for Game 3 but I think Cowan and Evans along with Anderson and Eyanson as our starters will be very hard to beat come regional play.

We played great today and hopefully our bats continue to stay hot after today but let’s not forget we got some luck in the 9th on Friday night with Tennessee committing two errors. Let’s see how we perform next weekend at A&M after getting swept in our last road series

I agree. Evans holds Tenn to 3 runs and we had a shot to take game 2 and start Cowan today with Noot in the BP would have been enough with the way we hit today. Greedy?? Absolutely but I didn’t like the way Jay conceded only down 1 run with their starter out the game

At the time of the post they were. Question moving forward is do we leave Evans in the BP or move him to Sunday starter? Come regional play though we have 4 elite arms that will be hard to beat if we continue to hit like we did today

Not sure who has been more disappointing this year. Schmidt or Shores. I understand Schmidt is a freshman but he was the best pitcher in the country coming out of high school and a Top 15 pick in the draft and he can’t even record an out in SEC play. We thought we would hs r a huge advantage on Sunday with Shotesz and it has been the complete opposite

Depends …if we hit the ball and scores a decent amount of runs vs their bullpen arms and Cowan and Evans shut them down, yes there’s still a positive out look but nothing we’ve seen the last 3 Sundays lead me to believe we will

We have 4 pitchers and haven’t hit the ball in 3 weeks. Unless something changes, I can’t see us getting there

I don’t understand Jay’s pitching decisions once we cut the lead to one run and got their starter out the game. We still had Evans and Cowan available. Bring in one of them and start the other pitcher tomorrow. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed with the way we swinging the bats even with both Cowan and Evans going tomorrow. I just do t get it

This is exactly what I was thinking. We had all the momentum after the 2 bombs and got their starter out the game. At least come in with either Cowan or Evans but when you stay with Shores, you knew he couldn’t hold them
