Well if true, congrats to the LSU powers who figured him out in 3-1/2 years while our powers NEVER figured him out and would probably still be employing his sorry, arrogant arse had LSU not taken him off our hands. There's talk about putting up a statue of your AD outside Notre Dame stadium.

But - unless there's some plausible "cause," why would CBK settle for one cent less than the full buyout?

Lots of foolish people think LSU is going to buy out Kelley's contract. It's not just the 53 mil, its millions more for the assistant coaches. Probably more like 75 or 100 million. No way unless Musk, Trump, or some other deep pockets get involved. Not going to happen. Best we can hope for is a new play caller (Sloan) and offensive line coach (Davis)
