Prayers for him. With all sensitivity to the situation taking into consideration, who is responsible for putting the tumor in his brain and when? He is cured of a deadly cancer and the doctor committed malpractice???? What colleague of the doctor agrees that he committed malpractice, by helping to cure his deadly disease? Who determines how and how much time BK adequately spends directly or indirectly communicating with Brooks over what time period, given his large responsibilities?

LSU’s story. Player’s story. Then the truth, which we will never hear.

Attorneys are the scum of the earth and are the reason for everything that is fricked in this world. They’re nothing but parasites on otherwise productive people!
user avatar
They also wrote the constitution.

Such a bummer but maybe the family will get a million bucks. Hate to see it happen like this though.

Why should the family get a million bucks? Because he got cancer?

People, do a little research. The lawsuit is about the university not getting any medical check of him done after symptoms appeared, granted it was only 40 days apparently. Secondly it appears the lawsuit is essentially a medical malpractice claim against OLOL for an alleged botched brain tumor removal surgery. NOT about BK not calling the young man. Pray for him to heal.

I’m really sorry that it happened and granted I don’t know all the information involved but I don’t know any football trainer that would immediately think brain cancer when a player says he has a headache. Or even if he said it every day for a month.

Not sure what BK is supposed to do? Spend all day and night there? Not deal with the rest of the team the last couple of years.
user avatar

Maybe not, but certainly he should give medical updates, like he’s walking, if he’s not or doesn’t have knowledge of his progress.

The kid is now mentally challenged and in a wheel chair. He wants his life back and he will never be the same again like he once was. To kellys defense he didnt really tell the coaches what was going on and he wanted to stay in. He keft having problems so they took him to our lady of lake hospital to firther evaluate him on an emrgency procedure after they were alerted. Not everyone can do a perfect surgery and he should have taken himself out of practices immediately and Brooks did not

False headline. Definition of refute means to prove a statement wrong or false. This story publishes a claim by one side of the dispute. The story and headline should say that Kelly’s statement was denied or disputed. Not refuted.

Not sure why you're being downvoted, everything you said is correct. This is categorically not a refute.
user avatar
Slumlord4 months
It also means to deny or contradict an accusation. The headline is appropriate.

worked with the stepdad never really heard much about the real dad . I know his stepdad was a really nice guy, The day after Gregg was diagnosed I remember the stepdad being gone and we never heard from him for weeks. Told he was with the Gregg at the hospital., he came off the complete opposite personality and this guy that I’ve seen on TV

I’d like to know how much money was raised by the Greg Brooks Victory Fund that the athletic department put together. Money raised by the fans of the school they’re going after.

It also seems that Brooks is aware that his NFL dream is done and he wants to make some $ this way because he wont be making it in the league.

Kelly stepped in it saying the kid was walking when he actually had no idea what was going on. It's not lawsuit worthy, but it's a bad look for sure.

I wish the best for Greg Jr. and I hope his recovery continues to progress to the point where he feels normal again, but I am done listening to his family and the attorney who are trying to pin some type of blame on someone who had no ability to change what happened.

Everyone will have their day in court and the evidence will come out. I'll tune back in then.
