The best coach is the one who can put together the best roster, the rest makes marginal difference.

If you wan to pay them $10million a year give them a 3 year contract and if they do well or win a NC at your school then you can always extend the contracts and pay them a lot.A 10 years contract is a retirement package. If you give them a long term contract then don't complain why he is playing golf. Imagine you are 60 and your company gives you a 10 year $100 mil contract, LOL.

Play calling is a lot easier if you have a dual threat or even just mobile QB.
As long as it is not for more money and it is less than 5 years contract.

Yes it is a business and you get rewarded after you deliver.
LSU should not hire a coach who wants to come here purely for the money and should not give a long term contract. If they think LSU is the best place to win the NC they will be rewarded after they win.
Kiffin would not have played Nuss, the same way that he didn't like Howard.
