Started out duck and deer hunting in the swamp. Growing up my dad had a v8 mudboat and later got a small airboat for deer hunting. I was so happy when he got the air boat bc that meant we didnt have to make those long drags in the marsh.
I now deer hunt in Texas with friends but man there are times I do miss hunting in the marsh. I don’t miss them long arse drags tho!

243 is a decent first rifle.
Just wondering why u didnt consider a 6.5creedmore or a .308? Both rifles have tons of different rounds to choose from and very little recoil.

My sister got married opening weekend of duck season. My dad, her husband and myself are all huge hunters. My dad didn’t make too big a deal out of it but I did. Made a hunt the morning of there wedding. Showed up to get dressed looking like Phil Robertson. Cut out the reception early and made a hunt Sunday morning with my dad.

Yes it will. They bite will slow down a good bit. They will become slow and sluggish.

Pay once cry once! If you can get front coilovers and shocks in the rear. If you go 3” or higher you need to change upper control arms. This will give you a way better ride compared to just a puck.
I don’t think 1.85” will be enough for that tire size.
