Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney was asked Tuesday if he had any regrets about how he constructed his roster this offseason following the Tigers' 51-10 loss to LSU.

Swinney gave a lengthy response, saying his only regret right now is being 0-1 and that Clemson's roster should be judged after the entire season — not after one game.

Swinney also gave LSU some major praise while defending his program, suggesting that Saturday's loss may have come against "the best team in the country."

I think Dabo should go with his freshman qb. He has the highest ceiling and gives them the best chance to win. I understand starting the veteran at night in the real death valley, but after the game got out of hand I would have turned it over to the freshman for the rest of the game.

Last year both teams were bad. This year one team was bad. Like, really bad.

He was right last year even though I thought it was sour grapes, so maybe this is just him being truthful to what he believes. I'll allow it Dabo. Now go out there and win at least 8 games

Everyone gave Dabo crud last year for saying both teams got failing grades, but he was SPOT on. He deserves a lot of credit for calling things how they are. I think Clemson finishes well and LSU is just a good team this year. We'll see how it ends up, but we've been here before!

Unpopular opinion, but I like dabo. He, like pretty much everyone doesn’t like the current state of the league/ NIL. At least he has the marbles to speak his mind and stay true to his principles. Yes I agree. Kiffin has done. Great to adapt, that’s what great coaches do. Like Saben. But he still seems like a genuine person to me and I do think he is a good coach. His national championship teams were right in the middle of the SEC Dynasty. The talent pool has definitely shifted over the past few years.

I'd like to thinks he's correct in his assessment. It'd be pretty neat to see Clemson run through the ACC like a hot knife and wear Miami out. I can't say that I hate Dabo. He's been a pretty solid coach through the years.

And I thought some people on the Rant were sunshine pumpers. How delusional.

Scratch this comment. I thought it said he thought HIS roster could be the best in the country after it’s said and done. I agree with him now.

I mean, he wasn't that far off with his "grades" from last year's game. LSU executed at a REALLY high level, regardless of how good or bad Clemson was.

That’s right, didn’t he say last year that it was basically two bad teams going up against each other? And that’s what turned out to be true
