The whole NIL situation makes me want to puke. I don't blame the kids. Get that money. But the money shouldn't be there.

Hey guys, I am a Tiger in Gump land, and my son went to a key bama feeder skill. The Gumps spent millions every year during the Saban run. Probably more than that many years. It’s was just dark money. Auburn did it too. The numbers have gone up but nor as much has changed as you guys think. Probably the money being taxable is really biggest change

We all work for a living. We are loyal to 3 things… our families, church and lsu football. We leave it out there every week for the other two. No doubt we ll never understand…. We just hope those young men understand how much we care that they take this opportunity seriously. I would kill for that talent. -TxLSUFan

The responses to this explains why a lot of you are broke arse haters. In business, which CFB is, you evolve or die. LSU is evolving and will thrive. So, either pitch in, watch the ride, or stfu and keep being poor.

And you wonder before this bullshite why they kept “going up” on everything. Truth be told, the money has always been there. ??

Aren’t the average NFL rosters like $200 million plus?

$18 million is insane. The ROI better be worth it.

Imagine a college football fan waking up from a 20 year coma and reading this article. We went from suspending players and vacating wins if a coach was caught paying for a meal at a restaurant to players getting million dollar + contracts. College football today is unrecognizable from where we were just five years ago.

Disband the ncaa and form the nfl minor league. That’s all it really is now.

I do prefer the game the way it was 10+ years ago; however, I'm not going to argue against the players wanting a piece of the monetary pie when the NCAA was raking in billions in revenue. And let's be honest, this was going on well before NIL. The players just couldn't be as brazen about it since it was "against the rules", so now it's visible.

Bingo. In the early 2000's Bama got 26 schollies, 2 year postseason ban for a player getting a ride to purchase a 2000 dollar vehicle, a booster being the Nashville hotel room with a prospect parents and the alledged 100K to Albert Means coach that they never found and he ended up in prison for extortion. That 100k wouldnt buy a backup kicker today and the NCAA took away our ability to compete from 2003-2007. It's crazy to look at then and now. The NCAA just stick to everything non football. Don't even get me started on the portal.

It’s not NIL - it’s “pay to play”

Never thought I would see an opening game that would be bigger than the Oregon game but this game against Clemson is about as close as it gets.
