Brian Kelly sent the following message out on social media Thursday to say farewell to LSU fans:
quote:

Dear Tiger fans:

Moving to Baton Rouge four years ago, my family and I were clear. There would be no halfway. We would be all-in for LSU and for Louisiana.

This journey began with great expectations with my own vision of how to get there. Sometimes the journey does not end the way we hope.

But when I think of our time together, I will remember and appreciate what we did accomplish. All of the exceptional student-athletes I had the privilege to coach. A Heisman Trophy winner and more than a dozen Tigers playing on Sundays. 39 players earning SEC Academic Honor Roll honors in 2024 alone. My daughter and son earning advanced degrees from LSU and a third who began his career working at the University.

The roar of Death Valley when we beat Alabama.

The losses will always hurt, but I will remember all of the wins.

I don't need to tell any of you how special Saturday nights in Tiger Stadium are. I am honored to have worn the purple and gold and been a part of it.

As everyone heads on their way to see the Tigers play, I wish Coach Wilson, the coaches and our players the best this weekend. I know they will do their best for themselves and for LSU. We will be watching and cheering for you.

This journey may have ended, but it's a journey that will stay with me and my family forever.

Geaux Tigers.

Even when he does something alot of coaches wouldn't, something he didnt have to do, he is still hated by so many Lsu fans. Sad people can hate so much for so little.

People who hate like that are sad people. They hate themselves and then project it outward onto other people.

Even if it was chat GP or a lawyer, it's still a message and told that he chose to send at the same time a lot of hate was coming his way. Say what you want but he walked away with class. He may actually be bitter inside, but he still chose the high road and that was a choice. Next you'll tell me that's just sort of look good to his next employer. So we'll just do everything they can not to say anything nice about a person because it's got to be black or white you have to completely love him or completely hate him. It's okay to be glad we're moving in a different direction but also say that he handled himself well on the way out even while shots were being fired at him.

A lot of people forget, we won the SEC West, when some people thought we would only win 6 games. LOL

Managed to work in "my family" twice. Not sure if intentional but I can't read that without his Cajun Kelly accent.

Nice message though.

Give him a game ball and find a new coach. I wish it would have worked out much earlier when he arrived at LSU.

Hey screw it. I choose to end on a warm handshake and well wishes. Whether it was the bottle, ego, misfortune, a combination, or otherwise, it didn't work out. But I appreciate the statement. I wish him well and am grateful for the Heisman and the wins we did have.

All Class by CBK to not reference the time he filed papers to divorce his wife and then his family called local media/Tiger Fans crazy for talking about it.
