LSU coach Brian Kelly told reporters on Friday that athlete Ju'Juan Johnson will stay at running back after moving to QB earlier in the offseason.

Johnson will add depth to the running back room following the suspension of JT Lindsey.

I can't wait to see RB Ju'Juan Johnson complete his first half back pass.

Maybe Russell Shepard will throw one this year, too

Label it whatever you want, he is more RB / athlete than QB. Just get him his touches and give the opposition something to worry about.

Makes sense to me after watching his running ability at LCA!!

Make this guy an official Slash player and don’t waste his talent. Have a couple of scripted plays at RB, QB, and WR and let him eat.

I'm still waiting on RSheppard to throw that touchdown as well as rush the passer from the edge.

Keep waiting because Less Miles wasted that talent, just like so many others.

I guess Juwan will be LSU’s version of Kordell Stewart. Call him slash running back/QB/wildcat QB.

This is good. He was never going to actually throw, and if he does, then we are in serious trouble.

RB and OL are the two biggest areas of concern for this team.

I hope he avoids becoming Russell Sheppard 2.0

Russell Shepherd was a pretty damn good player in my book…

Yeah, Russell was a force on that halfback pass.

And how would he avoid becoming Russell Sheppard 2.0? He becomes our starting QB? He throws the ball? Or he becomes WR1? The whole Russell Shepard got wronged thing is still mind blowing to me. He wasn't a college level QB and he wasn't going to get significant time over Rueben Randle, OBJ, and Jarvis Landry. I still don't get why people act like there was some injustice that kept him off the field other than him being mislabeled as a 5* QB.
