Without looking it up. I think one of the years Bama and Georgia played was in ATL.

I looked it up...2017/2018 Natty with Devonte Smith's walk off OT winner was indeed in Atlanta

I'm one of the three that laugh. :geauxtigers:
It is that bull shite out of conference schedule that has hurt us. If you play 15 games and your starters are sitting or playing at 50% the entire second half cuz you are up by 35+, it is bad preparation for 4th quarter minutes when the games matter. They aren’t prepared for second half basketball because they didn’t have to do it the entire out of conference schedule.
Shut up with that Texas bitch shite. We ain’t no bitches. Anyone, anytime, anyplace mentality

No truer words have been spoken. We need a QB! Whoever Lane wants...I want
Valuable experience for the coaches. Next time LSU makes the playoffs, all these coaches have playoff experience. This is the kind of experience that you can't replicate.
Once we lose Haulcy and Delane, sounds like we may need to snag a few DBs in the portal too.

He single handily ruined the program

This is such a played and horrible take. Do you think Lane Kiffin comes here and says all this stuff about, "This is the best job in the land." or "I took a look at the trophies and Hiesmans..." If 2019 and Joe Burrow doesn't happen?!? No freaking way! You can not have the 2019 season and single handily ruin the program. How can a program be ruined but still hire the most sought after coach. Retire this horrible idea that he ruined things. It makes no sense.
Bryce cost Michigan $12 million. He completed 8 passes today. I’ll pass on the guy that cost $1.5 million per completion in the biggest game of the year.

"The BK is our best coach since Saban," was the narrative around here for quite some time. Lane will definitely get his grace period.
I think the question is, why John Gruden? What has he done since Derrick Brooks and John Lynch that warrants that dude being our HC?

Sometimes I miss the Miles days then I think back to how horrendous we were at QB play with the exception of Flynn

I see someone already mentioned JaMarcus. What about Zach Mettenberger? At the time he was on a short list of LSU QBs to pass for 3,000 yards. Without researching, I am pretty sure it was the first time in LSU history to have a 3,000 yard passer and 2 1,000 yard WRs on the same team. Throw in Jeremy Hill and that team was the first with a 3,000 QB, 2 1,000 WRs, and a 1,000 yard RB. Everyone loves to say the end of the Miles ear was 11/12 season when we lost the Natty. The few years that followed were powerful offenses. Then the line of bad QBs and the spread offense becoming the norm really began and Miles didn't adjust.
There was a huge portion of people in here with the notion that he was the “best coach we have had here since Saban.” The other two were idiots. So there are a lot of quiet ranters also coping with this fact.
I too am reluctant cuz of his lack of experience, but the Lions have great culture and buy-in. Hopefully he is learning that and could bring it. And with him you are opening the door for getting former players and great leaders like Pat Pete and the honey badger and so many more from around his era who are bound to get involved. Would be a bold hire but it can’t get worse than this lifeless era.

Bingo! There is no better way to describe this experience other than the exact thing we would make fun of Notre Dame for and exactly what ND fans warned us of. The only difference is ND would play cupcakes and get embarrassed in the post season. We get embarrassed each and every time we start to gain some momentum.

What in the swamp monster retard is this? O didn't put together that staff, he kept most everything ales had in place.

Dropping retard and being way wrong is hilarious. E was the TE coach for Les. O promoted him to the OC just like BK made his QB coach, Sloan, the OC. BK gets criticized for that promotion because it has been bad yet O should also be criticized in your eyes because it was a good promotion and made O look good…got it. I’m the retard. Joe Brady was hired by O from the Saints. So again, wrong. But yeah O stealing a coach from the NFL should be a criticism of O because it made O better. Makes sense! Ya got me on Aranda, Miles hired him a few months before he got fired. But yeah one of the hottest names in DC and to become a HC at the time decided to stay with O because he believed O was a swamp monster retard. Again, makes sense! BK has a long past of loyal coaches stick it out with him like Denbrock, right? Your take makes no sense!
quote:

Swamp Monster is a distant #3 .. terrible coach that lucked out having Aranda, E/Brady and Burrow

Yet one BK's biggest flaws is the fact that he brought House and Sloan. "He can't hire quality assistants." Is what keeps being said in here. Yet, O putting together a great coaching staff and getting Burrow is simply "lucking out."
So one of BK's faults is he can't get quality assistants but one of O's biggest faults is he had too quality of assistants. Make that make sense.

How about immediately after the 2012 championship game? Lol.

How one could not enjoy the Mett, OBJ, Landry show and the years of Fournette and Guice rushing for like 200 a game is crazy. Those were fun teams that ran into the machine that was the Saban and Bama heyday. If Saban and Bama didn't exist the later Miles years would be so different. So many times the season was cruising right along until early November and then was derailed because Saban was that good. 3 of 4 years with BK the season has to be salvaged because we drop the opener.
He gave us a pretty discipline team?!? How many drives are killed by procedure penalties? Main reason we lost the USC game was a bonehead personal foul. A boneheaded personal foul jump started Ole Miss Saturday. How many times during his tenure have we had to come back from 14-0 or 17-0 first quarter deficits because we come out of the locker room like shite? How often do we go into clutch time needing time outs but don’t have any or just one because we constantly use bad timeouts? How often is BK yelling and screaming at people because we are disorganized and undisciplined? How often is he saying, "coaches need to coach better?" How is any of that a mark of discipline?

I get the Miles and O parts even tho I liked those guys. Their time came and went and they should’ve been fired. They got fired so BK could come in and be an upgrade…but it is BS to say he has been.
