Four-star defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy of the class of 2026 announced his commitment to LSU at the Under Armour All-American Game.

The 6’7, 245-pound lineman from Tupelo, Miss., chose the Tigers over Ole Miss, Tennessee, USC, Alabama, and others.

McCoy is rated the No. 12 defensive lineman in the country and the No. 6 player from Mississippi, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

He is LSU's 6th verbal commitment for the class of 2026.

Come on guys. If all you have is whining and bitching about how a player can change his mind or the sorry state of college football then go do something else. Are you that miserable that you have to make negative comments about a 17 yr old kid’s decision.
Last recruiting cycle about 5-6 players changed their mind. Some got a better deal for NIL. Some got a new girlfriend. Some decided they weren’t going to play. Some decided they didn’t like the depth chart at their position. They are 17. They are kids.
The point is leave them the hell alone. Be happy that one kid that just so happens to be a pretty good player decided for today that he wants to go to LSU. It’s a pretty big deal for him.

On their recruitment page with the different services, they should just have:

Current High Bidder - LSU

Definition of commitment-the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, etc.
Definition of commitment when a 17 year old makes- how much money do I get & when

Can we change it from “commitment”…to “we’ll see how things go”

Can't we just accept the way things are? This board is like a bunch of school girls - "but it could rain". Get in the car - we're going on a picnic. "BUT IT COULD RAIN". Let's try to play a game were the young man announced his attention to be a Tiger. Comment on that and not bemoan a possible maybe about things we can't control.

I 100% agree! I personally hates what college football has become. But this is what it is. Win or lose, I'm going to cheer for the state of Louisiana, but more importantly. I'll be cheering for our TIGERS!!

One to two weeks before he can sign a letter of intent with LSU, he'll be all, "respect my decision" on X.

Jesus, the amount of "fans" shitting on a young man who said he wants to come play for LSU all because some other players left us at the altar is crazy. Some major insecurity in these comments.

It’s not about this young man in particular, it’s about a generation of young men who have no loyalty and less backbone but call it what you will

When he signs I will say congrats and welcome, until then it's all a soft commitment till the money war is over.

I don’t know why the frick we even post dumb shite like this, have these kids dcom once another school offers them money. The whole committing is such a farce.

My idea of committed now is when they sign on the dotted line for LSU. Verbals don't mean much anymore.
