I would give him an 8. There’s a stat that he needs to improve on that they highlighted Saturday night on the broadcast. LSU has gone three and out on every opening drive in every game so far this year. We need to get off to faster starts. But overall, the program is in much better shape than with Brian Kelly. That’s for sure.

His hands, reach, and route running, are very impressive.

Everybody just needs to readjust their expectations. Injuries happen. It’s not anybody’s fault, the coach or the players. So stop beating up the team, they’re gonna put the best players in that they can, and we’re gonna win as many games as we can. Stop beating up the team constantly.

A team that is improving and getting better week over week is a team that is likely to make the playoffs. As long as they do that, I feel pretty good about the season.

I’m a boomer and I hate the DJ and the loud music, but I love the STTDB chant. ESPN game day even made a whole segment about it and allowed the chant. So it obviously has some kind of cultural significance and connection to LSU football. I know it’s profane, but so is all the yelling in the stands. When I go to the games, you can hear everybody cursing with every curse word imaginable, even F words, especially if the team was playing poorly. Some of those fans are insufferable in the stands.

So if you have a kid and he’s sitting next to you, he hears all that anyway, so what’s the difference?. You can’t pigeonhole everybody.

Two things can be true at once. Tommy Moffit was, for a while, an excellent strength and conditioning coach, AND he showed his arse last year in Tiger Stadium, which professionally is not a good look at all. I would be surprised if he ever got hired by anybody else after his Texas A&M stint.
