That’s just nasty. How do you hit that? You don’t.

I hope he can stay healthy his entire career. He is so much fun to watch.

Check out where the fastball and the sweeper are at the freeze frame versus where they end.

If he stays healthy, he likely will be an all-time great pitcher with the likes of Nolan Ryan. He's only getting started going into just year 3.

Let's pull the reigns in a little on that. Nolan Ryan had really good mechanics that allowed him to pitch 25+ years. Skenes is nasty, but he will absolutely not last 20 years with those mechanics

Hence, "If he stays healthy."

Did not mean to imply he would be better than Nolan Ryan just that he has the potential to go down as one of the all-time great hurlers.

Shohei Ohtani against Paul so far: 2-11, a HR, 6 K's. and a BB. Small sample, I know, impressive nonetheless.

I'd have to swing a 4'x8' sheet of plywood to hit Skenes.

He has more control than Ryan had. That makes him better than Ryan at this point in his career.
user avatar
if he can stay healthy long enough to hit free agency, he will get Ohtani level money.
