Welp Dilfer's career is over as a coach. Kid probably needed that though.

Nah, he's at a football high school. Parents send their kids there for exactly that. You frick up, just take it.

Why are people acting like millennials are the only ones to talk back? Not defending the kid at all but that’s just it, he’s a kid. So Dilfer is using it as a learning experience, which is fine with me. Dilfer didn’t hurt the kid or anything. You make a mistake and it’s a learning experience for the kid. None of y’all have kids that have ever talked back? They do it and you address it. Stop making this a “kids these days.” If anything, be a better parent and don’t raise the same “kids these days.”

Anyone who played high level sports got chewed out at some point. We have no idea how the kid handled it. Y’all are jumping to a lot of conclusions. Either way bravo Trent.

If you’re going to use yelling and physical intimidation as a way to get a teenager to comply, you better be damned sure he is going to comply. Otherwise, you’re setting yourself up for an embarrassing physical altercation with a teenager.

Who wants to be a coach with that shite? And Dilfer will be the one who has to apologize. That kid's parents are at fault, but it really probably started with their parents.

fricking millennial kids. I’m not an old guy at all but if I would have talked back to my coach and thrown my helmet down he might have knocked the shite out of me. The kid was probably upset Dilfer didn’t use his proper pronouns when speaking to him.

This is not a millennial...Millennials are on the verge of their mid-30s or later.

Supported 10,000%. I wish a lot more kids got this from your coaches. I know it’s cliché, but my coaches were strict AF and it instilled accountability and maturity.
