This is terrifying...
quote:

What was supposed to be an enjoyable ride on a tourist boat near Nusa Lembongan quickly turned into a nightmare on Wednesday.

Around 4:30 p.m. local time, a tourist boast capsized off the coast of Bali. There were 89 passengers on board when this catastrophic incident occurred. People had to legitimately break a few windows just so they could escape the sinking ship.

This vessel, which is known as The Tanis, was near the town of Sanur when it was struck by a few massive waves. According to reports, 77 of the 89 passengers were foreigners. Thankfully, no deaths were reported.

Effing tourists always complaining. It's too hot; the food is too cold; the boat is sinking. There's no pleasing them.

Is that really terrifying?

I mean, they aren’t even past easily in swimming distance from the beach

That might be the worst news report I’ve ever seen. If you didn’t know, you wouldn’t know what the hell is going on.

That was a poorly done video if it was supposed to be journalism. I don't know what I was trying to see....

That's the most scariest, edited, with the addition of anxiety-muzak video I've seen all morning!

"legitimately break a few windows" What does that even mean?

They're like 150 ft from the shoreline, they could easily swim. And if they couldn't that thing looked like it took a while to submerge. Not even sure if the top of it would even be submerged as it's likely shallow that close to shoreline.

“People had to legitimately break a few windows just so they could escape the sinking ship.” Illegitimate window breakers are a protected class, careful Larry.

Some people are probably so out of shape they can't make the 150 yard swim to shore.
