Or maybe the excuse of him being "extremely underfunded" a bit suspect?

the players didn't seem that good, which would make sense if he were underfunded. perhaps other programs passed on these fellas, ignoring their rankings for their own assessments, meaning they were available for lower pay.

already embarrassed on your behalf for you having said this

McMahon hasn't been under "extreme circumstances." It may have seemed like he was when he was first hired, but anyone who follows CBB as a whole, not just LSU alone, soon realized the circumstances weren't all that "extreme" relative to the CBB landscape

well if he was underfunded that is pretty extreme.

talks like he knows sports but probably the most unathletic guy on the board

you do realize we are not playing sports here, but discussing them?

lineup changes don't have such massive impacts

this is correct and has been studied in depth. all that matters is that you get your highest OBP and OPS high in the order so they get the most at bats over time.

also ignore K rates and batting average in favor of the stats I mentioned. for example a person with a low batting average that gets on base and hits homers is a good hitter and should bat 2nd.
its crazy these programs are allowed to lose so much and still exist

coach does not care about the SEC tournament, because coach is smart. its a stupid way to waste energy going into the only thing that actually matters, the regional.

if you need to play well in the SEC tournament the season is a failure

he isn't overthinking, he is playing the numbers the way he should be. that's why he has already led this team to a title. he is a genius and knows what he is doing.

Just watch the A&M series and you’ll see a perfect example of performances caused by coaching

could you be more specific?

team is ranked 3 in the nation.

is this the first season you have watched baseball? good teams lose. great teams get trounced. they lose SEC series all the time.

With 195 AB’s he has struck out 51 times

the number of strikeouts does not matter, its how many outs they make. it doesn't matter if it is popouts or groundouts or strikeouts.

his obp is good so he isn't making lots of outs.

I know there will be huge resistance to this idea. you don't understand baseball. outs matter. the type of outs do not. modern power hitters strike out a lot. its fine. as long as they are getting on base and hitting for power they are still productive.

Barry Bonds struck out more than Ozzie Smith.

Talent is most certainly not the issue with this team. It's the performance being gotten out of it by the coaching staff

how can you tell the difference between performance caused by talent and performances caused by coaching

if a guy was batting 400 is he crap because 6 out of 10 failures?

no. in baseball, everyone loses. everyone.

team looks awesome, gonna host a super. relax.
do you still subscribe to this stupid theory

if memory serves, former LSU PG Danny moscovitz was Israeli but my research does not confirm. I think zipper is the 2nd Israeli hooper in LSU history

Rob Miller got far better as the season went on last year
its funny because the coaches name starts with mc

There is no way to actually prove it

I have no real reason to doubt it.

That evidence show the guys LSU has signed in this cycle are generally (according to the rankings) in line with the guys they've signed in previous cycles.

whatever rankings you use to compare don't necessarily correlate with the cost of the players.
