I do not know the scenario... but I am going to hope that they were down by like 35 points late in the 4th quarter and pulled that out just cause nothing else was working... I hope

Trick plays are fine at higher levels, but at the pee wee level it strikes me as tacky as hell. A bunch of little kids who barely know the rules, duping them isn't exactly something to be proud of.

Yeah kinda low class no doubt. If your older and have been playing a while and get caught it’s funny. This not so

Was my first reaction as well.

Wonder how people would feel if the LB crashed the line and laid the QB out during a dead ball looking play?

It's an illegal play. Should have thrown a flag.

I would be pissed if my son's coach tried to teach this crap to my son. This is not sport... I'm all for letting the kids have fun. But this is something else. Beat the team with solid fundamental playing. Don't beat them by resorting to trickery that the other team hasn't had time to consider, much less practice and prepare to defend.

It’s a very common trick play in pee wee football. Surprised that the opposition didn’t teach their kids about it, particularly at the semi-final level.

It's been an illegal play for well over a decade. Those refs just didn't know the rule book well enough.

And they wonder why some parents go apeshit at these games and start beating on each other?

While Im nit a fan of plays like this at such a young age, what are yalls thoughts on the play where the HS basketball player got down on all fours and started barking like a dog right before the inbounds pass that gave them a winning shot?

Agree with all of you. That coach(s) has lost or never understood from the beginning the intent of youth sports.

Im ok with "trick plays" like reverses and half back passes because it forces you to teach your players responsibility, patience, and discipline. This "play" is chicken shite.

If the referees in college football are going to call unsportsmanlike conduct on a kick off where the receiving team player lays down in the end zone, I’m surprise the referees did not throw a flag on that. The coaches were clearly behind it and orchestrated the whole bullshite

Nice lesson on physical competitiveness and morals

I'm with you on this one. Teach kids to trick and half arse your way to victory instead of learning to compete. Yea, because that's the way life really works

That other staff's a bunch of idiots. Live ball people. Help your kids out!
