© Douglas DeFelice-USA TODAY Sports
53-year-old Mike Tyson continues to train and that is a frightening thing. Is he prepping to fight Evander Holyfield?

Lest not we forget he was the most vicious and terrifying heavy weight fighter in a single point in time. He was/is a physical freak of nature.

His trainer has pads on his hands and pads on his ribs....and with all those pads, there is no way I would take a punch from him.

I wouldn’t spar with him if you paid me.

He’s probably doing this as a way to make enough money for retirement and he’ll probably knock out a couple guys for a few million pay a few debts and retire. We may get to see a few entertaining fights out of it.

Bare knuckle, he might kill somebody. The quickness of someone his age is amazing.

Might?

He could have been the greatest boxer to ever step in the ring. If only his handlers had been better.

He was.... for a while.

He had great trainers/handlers - DAmato, Rooney and Baranski. Then Don King took over.

It's impressive at his age but could he last 12 rounds with someone who can take his punches. Idk that's when she comes into effect
user avatar

It’s amazing anyone could take any of those punches and maintain consciousness

Well, that’s the whole trick. Don’t get squared up by him. Don’t know if his style will be different, but he was an inside boxer. Those who had success against him kept him at distance and usually had a reach advantage.

Is it just me or does he seem to get more and more coherent the older he gets?
user avatar
Whoever gets in the ring with him is an idiot...

Holyfield whipped his arse twice, scaring him into an intentional disqualification the second fight. Not everyone is scared of Tyson.

Tell u what I wouldn’t want to be a young up and comer and take that fight. He might end your career before it began with that power.

He’s crazy as hell but when you’ve got it you’ve just got it. It’s always, at least to some extent. lurking just below the surface.

"The gods of war have reawakened me, ignited my ego and want me to go to war again..." Thath's an inthimidating quote on pathper but would thound really funny coming out of his mouth.

Problem is...the gods of war have forgotten him. A shooter's gotta shoot but I wish these old fighters would just walk away from the sport. No bueno for brain health.
