Other than the Jets, and maybe the Bengals, how many NFL franchises are eager to get a guy who quits on his team?

Receiving bad advice. More likely to get injured doing non-football stuff than in the bowl game.

Forever War Eagle, but not this next game.

This guy is good, but we are now having lots of late round picks opting out. We are to the point where unless it’s a playoff game, the bowls will be played by young players.

Would be nice to see players actually honor their commitments for a change.

Lol, he was a 3* who Auburn was mercilessly ridiculed for having to flip him from his commitment to South Alabama who's done nothing but put in work and represent AU with nothing but class. He is about to be a top 15, possible top 10 NFL draft pick. Him sitting out the Birmingham Bowl doesn't even register in today's world of transfer portal and opting out.

It is the Birmingham Bowl. There is not one fricking thing to gain from playing in that game.

Love Roger. He is the perfect example of an Auburn man. Work, hard work. WDE #23

Another Diva blessed to be a great athlete with no real love to play the game.

says the man who has nothing to lose typing this from his keyboard, while the player has his financial future to worry about yes, YOU are the one we should listen to. douchebag

Lol an LSU fan would know plenty about that. At least our guy finished out his regular season. Remind us all when Stingley lost his love for the game...

Coming from a guy who hasn’t played any meaningful snaps in his life…

Coach's take care of players, treat them like Kings and 30 minutes with an agent and the players believe quitting on their team is noble. Today's generation = SELF. Nothing else.

??? coaches take care of THEMSELVES. will brian kelly and lincoln riley coach the bowl games? ahhh, didn't think so. they already ditched them and are working on bettering themselves and their new jobs, while getting paid boatloads of money

Lol Roger is gonna be a top 15 NFL pick in a few months. I can guarantee you not one of his coaches or teammates is mad at him for not playing in the fricking Birmingham Bowl.

I wonder how NIL deals will handle this kind of thing.

They're leaving to go to the NFL. NIL is pointless after he's gone.

You can always put in an NIL contract a penalty for opting out of Bowl Games or a Bonus for staying. Although I doubt you will get a penalty for opting out of a Birmingham Bowl.

War Eagle Roger! Best decision for him to skip a scrimmage game.

What a little bitch. Do you think my wife would mind if I quit her to focus on trying to get a better job. I want to always be her husband, and have her be faithful to me. She’ll go for that, right?

I'm sure your wife wouldn't mind you not talking to her for a month if it meant you landed your dream job making millions of dollars.

You're fricking retarded. He's not skipping a playoff game. He's skipping the Birmingham Bowl to make sure he takes care of his family financially.
