During an appearance on "The Herd" this Thursday, former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer suggested that Nick Saban is itching to coach again...
quote:

"I have not talked to him about this. I could guess - because I know him fairly well - that it's not a little scratch, it's probably a pretty big scratch," Meyer told FS1 host Colin Cowherd.

"I would say there's very little to no chance he would get involved in college. But I think he would take phone calls from the NFL."

He also won two Nattys. And let’s not pretend that his QB room wasn’t stacked when Joe was there.

NFL players are not going to follow Saban's scare tactics. That's already been proven.

I guess you're one of those window lickers who didn't look at the Dolphins record before he took the job and after he left.

He will never coach on the sidelines again. He's a few years from 80 and taking an NFL job would be a rebuilding project, which means more time in the office and on the field and he doesn't have the energy and endurance for that. Also, Mrs. Terry doesn't want to pick up and move across the country to start all over again. We all want things in life, but not all things are possible.

He also "guessed" it was okay to have a coach that was beating his wife tag along to OSU from Florida.

Saban is too much of a control freak to land in Dallas.

Guy's FOS. He'll say anything to get attention.

Saban ain't coaching at an FBS school nor the NFL. NIL and the portal is what ran him off and he hated the pro environment. At his age he's not coaching again but if he did it would be like a non schollie D3 school which is just about playing football.

zero chance of Saban coaching anywhere. Zero.

I could see Saban taking a job as a small college DB coach. Whatever he does, or doesn't do, will not be for the money.

Meyer has 3 NC's. 2 at Florida and 1 at Ohio State.

I could see Saban coaching at a division 3 school. He hates attention and being in the spotlight. He just wants to coach and eat oatmeal cream pies

The guy that hates attention and the spotlight immediately joined College Gameday after retiring, huh? Interesting way to avoid attention

I might go with being indifferent to attention. You can't really ever be top-level successful at anything and hate attention.
