I considered buying the mudder boots that open up like bat wings to disperse your weight. But I am not convinced they would work out there....

It's down the street from the BRPD building in a fine area. Not like it is next door to Brookstown.

Find a way to hike into the mud at Joyce or Maurepas. Maybe a helicopter.
You will be alone

Try pulling the handle then pushing in (towards the front of the truck) on the top of the tailgate. Common Ford issue.

It does not always matter. One time on public a dude walked up to the tree I was in about an hour after daylight. Told me he lost his flagging and then proceeded to sit in some bushes 50 yds away. ??
I get it’s public…. But c’mon
re: only 16 of 26 bear tags used in LA this year

I would not be suprised if at least a couple people that got tags sat at the house.
I bet Joe Schmo that gets a tag but is not in a Hunting Club on the River sits at the house vs. paying some club hundreds or thousands of dollars to help them get rid of a deer feeder destroyer....

If they ban feeding would the price of leases go down?
re: What knife or tool do you use to crack open the sternum on a deer?

When I was in a lease we used a battery powered sawzall.
Public land hunting I pack out the meat. Use a folding Milwaukee hand saw with the metal sawzall blade. So it’s about the size of a redbull can folded up. Use this for cutting feet off, cutting through the sternum, neck roast ect. Found the saws made for this have the bigger teeth and are a PIA compared to the metal blade.

Cost of land and hunting in general is the biggest problem.
In the south unless the land is swamp that is unusable and not good duck hunting either you are going to have to spend a few hundred K$ on a piece of property big enough to kill a couple deer every year. A briar patch with Chinese tallow is 5-10,000$ an acre and will take 40 or more acres to be worth it….
A lease plus feed, gas, ect is going to be 4000$ a year or more for a poor to average spot. It’s a wealthy man’s game or going broke game….

Not the same situation, but...
Using an OLD school .22 stevens single shot with the plunger trype safety. Walking down a trail and it went off when my brother was holding it. We always point guns in a safe direction so we were okay.

I appreciate your effort. And I support what you are trying to do.
But if you want to be in a state that considers what is best for its natural resources or constituents you will need to move. Sad but true….

Installing a 4” line from a gutter to an existing catch basin box.
Would you use the corrugated black drainage pipe? Will it not hold up? Buried about 1 foot deep. South Louisiana.
Get thinwall PVC instead?
