President Donald Trump is backing former Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville in today’s Republican runoff election in Alabama. On his call last night, he called Nick Saban ‘Lou’, confusing the six-time national champion with former Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos head coach Lou Saban, who passed away in 2009. I graduated HS with a 2.1 GPA and although they didn’t let me walk on the stage to get my diploma because I didn’t write a term paper, I only had to go to 8 weeks of summer school to get my diploma after I plagiarized my paper. Lou Saban was an NFL head coach as late as the 1960's and no relation to Nick that I know of.
