Alabama head coach Nick Saban spoke with reporters on Monday following the 52-49 loss at Tennessee and sent a strong message to his players. Per SDS:
quote:

“We can’t continue to tolerate guys that aren’t doing the things they need to do to be successful,” he said. “Nobody’s entitled to a position. Everybody’s earned the position that they’re in by showing they have the capability and ability to do it on a consistent basis and that’s something that you have to continue.”

He's now saying that Tennessee fans 'attacked' the alabama players. wtf? What a total knob. This whole episode is tarnishing his legacy.

His message isn't reverberating like it used to

Another stupendous football observation from lsusteve1–LOL.

Next game…one penalty.
Seems to me that Saban’s message reverberated fairly well, I must say!

He should have a come to Jesus meeting at the start of summer and explained to the team what was expected and what would not be tolerated. Those who commit unsportsmanlike conduct penalty's will run steps. Do stupid stuff to hurt the team you will pay the price. He should never have to have that talk to the team halfway thru the season.

This assface never holds himself accountable. What a tool. Win = my fault, lose = players fault

This goes for coaches too. This comes down to coaching. Fix the penalties, sloppy play, crappy scheme, and failures to adjust.

The players that YOU chose to put on the field played their tails off. YOU got outschemed, outcoached, and outrecruited at WR

And THOSE players cost us the most penalties that we've ever had in the game. If you listened to the entire interview he most certainly attacked himself specifically and the coaching staff.

@m2pro THOSE players finally played on the same level reffing field as everybody else for once. If you're used to getting every call, it's easy to be sloppy when they stop enabling you.

@weremoose Alabama is always one of the most-penalized teams in the SEC. Every season. Just because you are incapable of admitting that fact doesn't make it less true.
