What a SEC whirlwind we are currently in...and I love it. Not only has Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher gone scorched earth, but in an interview with Sports Illustrated, Aggies athletic director Ross Bjork accused Nick Saban of violating the SEC sportsmanship bylaws with his comments directed at A&M and has spoken to SEC commissioner Greg Sankey about the situation...
quote:

“There are sportsmanship bylaws in the SEC. We believe Coach Saban violated those bylaws,” Bjork says. “Everyone knows NIL is here to stay. We’ve embraced it. We have all the tools and technology. We are educating our athletes and boosters..."

Since only about half of the 5 stars actually pan out, Jimbo is very likely to have several guys getting a million dollars on the bench playing behind players who are getting peanuts. How is he going to deal with that?

Can you even imagine the attitudes Jimbo is about to deal with? Nothing is going to change at A&M. Matter of fact, Jimbo will be gone before any of this years recruits are. Jimbo can not compete in the SSSSEEEECCCC!!

Isn't NIL buying players? Where is the issue? THe collective of A&M (selecting recruits they want), A&M office guiding NIL deals to those recruits, A&M Foundation and Alumni putting together financial deals for those recruits...all of it is a collective for A&M. Every school is doing this. Every school is putting together deals for recruits and transfers.

He didn’t violate any bylaws if you keep the collective separate (from the school). Any boosters or alumni in that collective?

Did Saban say he violated bylaws? Or just that they paid for every player in their #1 class? Basically that’s the only reason those players went there, which is true

"His collective"?! Man, this big NIL rollout is some fricked up shite.

This tells you Saban is right over the target with his comments.

Nick Saban only repeated what was already in the news, and A&M was just one school in a list. Only SEC school on the list at that. Jimbo Fisher on the hand called a press conference for the specific purpose of attacking another head coach on a personal level making accusations and calling his character into question. A&M took it personal and lashed out because someone repeated the news. They seem to have their heads up their asses over there.
