According to Ryan Phillips of Patch.com, Alabama's Deputy Director of Athletics, Compliance and Support Services, Matthew Travis Self, was charged with third-degree domestic violence and brought to county jail early Sunday morning after reports of an incident...

"TPD told Tuscaloosa Patch that officers were called at 12:10 a.m. Sunday morning to a residence on Gaineswood Lane on a report of a domestic violence incident. No other details were provided about the call," Phillips wrote.

Self, 45, was booked on third-degree domestic violence and taken to Tuscaloosa County Jail. His bond was set at $300.

I'm not passing judgement until I hear more details. I've seen too many cases where a man was arrested for domestic violence, when it turns out the woman either struck him or started beating him with an object. In some cases, the man tried to walk away, and the woman basically chased him down and continued to beat him.

I hate to be the one to tell you this but the crime rate in Louisiana waives to Alabama's crime rate from the front of the pack. You guys literally had the murder capital of the US in 2022 that outpaced Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
