re: 2nd choice DC if Freeman falls through - Randolphre
With all the talent we have at DL and DB, especially safety, a 4-2-5 base scheme could be effective here, especially with most (if not all) offenses running a version of the spread and trotting out 3+ receivers for every play. When both Aranda and Pelini were running things, we were not in our base ...

re: 2nd choice DC if Freeman falls through - Randolphre
I thought Freeman's base was a 4-3 but his nickel package was 3-3-5 instead of a more traditional 4-2-5 alignment. Is that not correct? ...

re: How realistic is Mullen to the NFL? - Randolphre
It only makes sense in that the NFL has developed a rather unusual affinity for offensively-minded college coaches in recent years (like Kingsbury at Arizona)....

re: Has anyone else seen this article? - Randolphre
I think his official title will depend on who we hire for OC. If the OC has a background in coaching QBs, Callaway might just be PGC. However, it's also possible for him to only be the QB coach if the OC doesn't coach QBs and doesn't want/need to share playcalling duties. ...

Has anyone else seen this article? - Randolphre
[link=(https://deathvalleyvoice.com/2020/12/31/lsu-football-ed-orgeron-reportedly-promotes-analyst/)]It's pretty vague...[/link] But it talks about reports of Orgeron promoting Callaway to a coaching position. I know we all expect this to happen, but this is the first report I've seen "confirming...
