Here's Who Paul Finebaum Would Put His Money On To Replace Nick Saban, Jeremy Pruitt
Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports
It will always be a fun game to discuss who will replacement Nick Saban when the time comes, but I don't think that time is coming anytime soon. However, ESPN’s Paul Finebaum thinks due to Dabo Swinney's new contract with Clemson, he's putting his money on Jeremy Pruitt to be Saban's successor when the day comes...

Dabo's made the playoff the last 3 years but each year he has struggled to beat an SEC West also-ran in the regular season. I doubt Dabo wants to deal with 6 SEC West opponents and an improved Tennesse program every year.

Which SEC west team did Clemson 'struggle' to beat?

Texas AM was the second best team in the SEC last year and Clemson won at their place before there was any film on their team. Clemson was the only team to win at Texas AM last year.

no coach should want to follow Saban. Better to let another guy do that, and fail because it's impossible to live up to Saban's standards, and then come in after that.

It depends. If you have a completely stocked team with 5 stars, hard to turn that down. And Bama will back up the brinks truck for their top replacement choice.

He'll leave you with 3 good years after that it'll be on you. It's a must that O beats him this year, even if its on the road.

I'm for letting the wealthy donors and boosters pick the next coach via a fax-in campaign. Worked like a charm for choosing Stallings successor.

Lol it will be Dabo and it’s not even close. That 6 million buyout is nothing for Alabama.

Hey Pawl. This is Teddy from Tuscaloosa calling. Do you think that Alabama football should disband after coach retires? Ill hang up and listen.

Honestly wonder if Dabo will be feared to play against as much as Saban is. If we’re honest, most of us look at our schedule thinking (or knowing is some cases) that our team will lose at least this game every year.
