A "person in the know" told former Alabama Crimson Tide QB Greg McElroy that he believes Nick Saban will leave TV work and return to coaching...
quote:

“This is a little bit out of left field, but the question was asked of me … a very much in the know person that I have a lot of respect for and have spent a lot of time around and just really, really admire,” McElroy said on McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning at SEC Media Days in Atlanta. “They seem to think Nick Saban’s not done coaching. I had a similar reaction. He’s pretty adamant that he thinks Nick Saban will be coaching again. … Look, if it wasn’t someone notable, I’d never say a word.”

ESPN's Paul Finebaum, meanwhile, disagrees.

"No," Finebaum responded when asked by McElroy if he bought the return to coaching rumors.

Not a snowballs chance in hell. Dude's got it good right now and admitted he didn't want to deal with NIL. Hell, Greg you played for hm and won a title. Just ask him.

Larry needs to attend journalism school. If he did attend, he didn't listen.

He’s going sit on his dock and fish until drunk. That’s what you do once you’ve run your course and the devil is nibbling at your arse.

He left college football for a reason and he already got his taste of the NFL, so he's done. Saban had a great run and I think Mrs. Terry is ready to shut that door for good!

Greg is breaking the Water Gate story. Well let's go with Epstein list being released story. That's bigger than Water Gate now.

It'd be kinda cool if he were to go to a FCS school or low tier FBS program - give him a challenge to build a winner with extremely limited resources. It's not like the dude isn't worth millions already.

Greg McElroy is going to lose a shite ton of credibility if this ends up not being true. This is one of the boldest claims to make as a reporter if it doesn't happen.

Saban, just go out on top. You were 1 inexplicable Milroe fumble away from likely an 8th Nati. It always sucks seeing great coaches like a Mack Brown, Miles at Kansas, etc, go out in mediocrity.

Neither Miles nor Mack Brown were great coaches.
