Alabama linebacker Tim Williams admitted that he failed multiple drug test while playing for the Crimson Tide, according to Yahoo Sports:
quote:

INDIANAPOLIS — NFL teams have been well aware for months about what Alabama pass rusher Tim Williams admitted to the media on Saturday: that he failed multiple drug tests while he was at Tuscaloosa.

Williams said he failed “a few” tests in his four years at Alabama but would not confirm what drug the positive tests were for or exactly how many he failed.

Nick Saban doesn't give a shite about rules, he cares about Wins.

That's because the rules that apply to every one else don't apply in Tuscaloosa.

While coaching at LSU, Saban had a starting DB that failed 7 drug tests before he got suspended. The following years have not been good to that fellow as he has twice spent extended time in jail on drug charges. Saban's "PROCESS" works when his players are under Saban's judgeship; the real world is not always as forgiving.

Agreed. If his failed drug tests were in fact about weed... Why even test for it in the first place? It's not a big deal, nobody is truly against it, and it seems more sinister than it really is when ambiguous statements like this are made.

its more about decision making, if you manage to fail announced drug tests it shows you're either stupid or don't give a shit, neither is good. You can disagree with testing for weed, but they do so until they stop doing that its a concern.

It really wont hurt him much. These GMs and coaches know that their players smoke and they dont care. It helps with recovery.

Go back and look at all the Alabama arrest and most had possession of Marijuana. They haven't "reportedly" suspended anyone in years for failing a drug test. So Bama players just carry weed around and don't smoke it

Like we learned with The HB, when done by the school, it's usually not breaking NCAA rules. Coaches discretion in most cases. Definitely an integrity issue and case example of how much a coach truly cares about exemplifying, reinforcing and building that quality in his young men.

Thing with HB is that not only was he suspended for an SEC game vs a then 5-2 Auburn team (along with 2 others, one of which was the starting RB), he was kicked off right before his junior season.

Dumbass! That's gonna cost him some $$.

Saban would've suspended him, but look at how he gets after that quarterback.
