Bama LB Arrested Says He Was Holding Weed For His Friend 'Brandon Chicken'
John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports
As reported on the SEC Rant, Alabama star LB Tim Williams was arrested early Thursday morning and charged with carrying a pistol without a permit. According to court records, UAPD officers approached Williams’ Chevrolet Impala in a Public parking lot. UAPD smelled marijuana and after searching the vehicle, found a clear plastic bag containing marijuana in the center console and a Glock 41 pistol under the driver’s seat. Williams was sitting in the passenger’s seat while the another dude was in the driver’s seat. The driver told officers that the marijuana was his, and that he was holding it for a friend named “Brandon Chicken.” Yes, "Brandon CHICKEN"....

So is he a thug because he is black and bought a gun or because he had weed in his possession?? Last I checked neither makes you a thug in this country because both are legal in at least parts of it. Don't key me so your racist fueled tirade though.

Dipshit!!! The officers smelling weed is probable cause. The officers could have easliy got them outta the vehicle, hand-cuffed them, and then done their search.

You sir are a dumbass. You clearly have no idea what the 4th Amendment is. "Probable cause" hahaha.... Good thing you're not a lawyer cuz you have no clue on what you're talking about. Search and seizure constitutes a warrant before consent is given to search a vehicle. Therefore, since this dude gave up his right and said it was ok for the cop to search his vehicle that's what led to the cop finding the weed and arresting him. If he would've envoked his 5th Amendment right and refused to speak to the cop and requested counsel he'd have a better chance of getting off.

What part of smelled marijuana do you think isn't predicate for a legal search?

Way to bring attention to yourself while smoking weed in a fricking Impala. He might as well walked into the police department and asked to be taken to jail.

Saban will likely make him miss the first half of the Star Spangled Banner against Kentucky.
