To be fair, Monroe, Burr, and Hamilton were much more influential AFTER we gained independence and in the forming of the government following than in the path to independence. There was a pretty strong amount of flying by the seat of their pants in that time

Housing costs are inflated and mortgage rates are high. Yes it costs too much to be a landlord for now. But anyone who got in 6+ years ago is doing fine

Nah he has the compass in almost every movie. And he survives the Kraken technically. Tons of other characters own the compass at one point or another and survive as well. The compass from Pirates was the first example I thought of as a counterexample to OP
