LA sucks. It’s true. Go spend some time in many other places and you’d find out how much LA sucks. You can fly in to enjoy an LSU football game and LA food. The rest is absolutely worse than most of the rest of the country

Our population is full of criminals and culture that ruin much of it. It’s highly unsafe compared to most places. It’s always hot and sticky here and full of mosquitoes but with very little natural resources worth visiting/enjoying. Our cities are crap with bad traffic, low job prospects out of specific fields, and generally a lack of interesting things to do. The state itself also lacks a lot of growth prospects though a few recent investments by large companies may start to change that. Our schools suck big time and have little prospect to change significantly, though the education changes following Mississippi’s lead have a chance to be helpful with educating our poor population. Those changes won’t make the schools safer or a good option for most families though, so bend over for expensive private or parochial schools on top of the taxes you already pay for public schools you can’t use. And on the topic of taxes, LA has one of the highest overall tax rates compared to the crap services provided by the state and local governments. I can go on

I’ve also taken the transfer bonus to RH, but took it when it was boosted to 3%. It was a 401k for a previous employer so I needed to move it to an IRA or roll it over anyway

I have no issues with RH despite their shady past on GME. The product is too good otherwise

For government/public work you need a PE “in charge” of the work. For companies like Exxon where the work is private, they don’t need a PE as they shoulder the burden of public safety. So they take the risk when sending things to India for a 75% discount

So is the Presbyterian church cool with this, or is there even any type of centralized representation for that church? Or is it more of a “anyone can be a pastor and say whatever they want” type of church?
