I have lived. I have seen Dan leave for Green Bay. I have booed Babs, watched the wheels fall off Woodys wagon. I have seen a 5th Down, kicks and picks and Doinks. I have cursed the cursed North, and one happy day helped saw up a goal post at Harpos.
And this day, I can smile, whatever the outcome, no matter how bad it might be. Because today, I can revel in the fact, a fact a quarter century evolving, finally, that it could be worse.
We could be Nebraska.
