Inexperienced tackles for Ole Miss. Music to my ears.

Chambliss can scramble. Hope we keep up with the rush lane discipline and can afford to let Rodriguez and Woodyard hang out close to the line and clean up when Chambliss flees the pocket.

There are quite a few people picking Mizzou because of the running game and defense. 2 of 3 of the guys at South Eastern 16 picked Mizzou, Andy Staples and Ari Wasserman at On3 went with Missouri. Cole and Chris at SEC Unfiltered went with OM but Demetri went with Mizzou.

I just hope the offense come out of the gate swinging. OMs defense looked better vs Vandy....but its Vandy and they OM was coming off a bye. Chambliss isnt a QB the offense can give the ball back to without putting points up.

Comparing each offense vs defense matchup, I think Mizzou has the advantage. Hoping drink isn’t relying totally on run game and is aggressive. Need to have a good 1st qtr and put pressure on Ole Miss.

I agree. Missouri is the more complete team. Chambliss just always seems to make the play down the stretch. Jumping on them amd making them play from behind is a must IMO.

Chambliss is going to make some plays against our defense. Just hope we mix it up similar to Florida game. I think we were 50/50 pass/run 1st qtr and a half in that game. Get the lead and then grind with Roberts.

Oddly enough, this game worries less than the previous 2. No way Ole Miss recreates the LSU atmosphere. No Ole Miss fan was pissed at Simmons for leaving, they were even happy with Lee going with his friend.

Ole Miss hangs with Mizzou early, but the difference in roster starts to show. The Mizzou run game takes over which limits Chambliss. Mizzou 41-14

As banged up as the team is, the grit and the depth is there for Mizzou to win this game. I think there's STP to themselves when it comes to winning in a hostile environment (don't even bring them up) and this victory would check that box.

Chambliss gives me Jayden Daniels 2023 vibes, though. That fricker sliced us and diced us that day and this dude is very similar. But that was a weak-arse Blake Baker calling the shots then. Now? Now we have bad-arse Corey Batoon!

We win on a Blake Craig 37 yarder as time expires.
Final - 30-27 Mizzou

Hopper had an abdominal issue that week and Baker kept using him to spy. He couldn't change direction for shite. Hopper had two bad whiffs in that game that led to long runs by Daniels on 3rd down.

Tigers win 31-17 stuffing the LSU run/scramble game forcing them to rely on the pass. The D picks Chambliss twice.

A day game helps Mizzou IMHO. The environment won't be the same, crowd won't be as drunk, conditioning will play a bigger role and the Tigers lines are built for the long haul.

Go Tigers!!!

This is a big game.

1). I don’t think we have a handle on the quality of this Ole Miss team.

2). On paper, I think it’s a slightly favorable matchup. They’re not a good run defense.

On the flip side, our defensive backfield is sus. Are we better off if Lacy plays?

3) it’s tough to win on the road in the SEC.

Formula is a steady diet of Roberts, seam/slant routes to Lee/O and make Chambliss beat you with no running game/scrambles (drop 7-8, get pressure with 3-4 and contain the off script plays).

Last week was an anomaly. Vandy had 4 turnovers in the first half and if Sam Leavitt didn't miss wide open receivers all night ... Ole Miss comes into this game with 2 losses because LSU was the better team that I watched that night.

Don't be LSU ...

This Ole Miss team could easily put 14 on us in the first quarter, while we try to get Jamal warmed up. Then we get put into throw first situation or maybe even shootout situation.

And then we see how good Simmons really is.

The player to watch is Donovan O for me.

I have 41-38 us winning, Simmons breakout game.

Yeah, DO has been fading into the background the last couple of games it feels like. This would be a great time to break back into the spotlight in a big way. We need him and Goode to keep the passing game from becoming the Lee show.

It does feel like the O-line is solidifying for Roberts. Feels like the coaches are getting the confidence to run left or right to match the situation. Guessing Wilson is correcting whatever flaws we were seeing the first couple of weeks. Work feels like the weak link, and he appears to be highly functional.

I have not watched Ole Miss much. Their offense seems to have a stud receiver in Alexander, a good tight end, and a good running back in Lacy if he's healthy. Do they have more than that for our D to handle??

How did Missouri lose to Miss St? Some of the experts talked about the Missouri-MSU game that was another reason to pick Ole Miss to win the game.

I sure hope their other reasons had a little more bite.

Especially if they want the Average Joe to continue to imagine they are actually an expert.

The defense has to tackle like they have the last two games. 13 missed tackles killed them in Starkeville. They missed 9 the last two games combined.
