I don't even know what to say.

I'm pretty sure Uncle Peyton made a call.

Drink gonna use this as a crutch...

Yeah, it was bad but again the playcalling after first drive and the defense were garbage today

How many red zone trips resulted in TDs?

I texted my group chat after the second review that we can’t leave it in the refs hands. We did.

One TD that got overturned ... which was probably the right call but little evidence to overturn.

Beyond that, the playcalling after first drive was same pedestrian shite we've seen all season.

The fact that we aren't running 20, 21 at all is proof that Navy was right and Chip was a Trojan horse hire ... drink is still calling some offense.

Outside zone will work at this level one day fellas ...

It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if he took over in the red zone. And is still working special teams.

Bass nails it.

Even if he's not calling plays, they can only run what they practice. And you have to know what the emphasis in practice will be . . .

It was a beautiful day at the stadium soured by special teams and unimaginative play calling

I sat in Truman's sipping a Yuengling Octoberfest and listening to the collective "WTFs" the whole game. I fear we've hit our ceiling.

FIFY.

Again, guy has done a masterful job of elevating recruiting, program, etc.

He's just terrible as a game day coach or scheme builder.

He'll get his chance next year.

Yep. We were never a playoff team this year ...

But if I'm the board, it's ... "you gotta win a ranked game away from home or you don't need to ignore calls from the FSUs any longer ..."

With a 24 team playoff, that's not the North Star. Drink has to prove he can win more than the gimmes ... Just like Webster.

Officiating was OK other than the replay booth. I'm not sure I have ever seen a team go 0'fer in a game with that many replays.

Watching some other SEC games tonight and multiple times there have been commentary about how bad the reviews were for MU/texas. SEC may just have to address this publicly.

Yep. Frustrating that now with a nine game SEC schedule, eight wins will ALWAYS be our ceiling. This year it’s seven of course (crossing my fingers that we can eke out a win v. OU).

No one likes the 24 team CFP, but frick, it it’s the ONLY way Mizzou would ever sniff a playoff. Never happening at 12.

Doubtful. They made a statement to a news outlet.

quote:

"The ruling on the field was a fumble.  In replay review it was determined there was not clear and obvious video evidence that he had firm control of the ball when the hand intentionally started forward in order to overturn the call."

If they made a statement to the news then that is publicly addressing it.

Yeah. But it’s not really addressing it.

It’s like a ref saying “5+5=banana” and the SEC saying “the ref said 5+5=banana and that was reviewed.”

Exactly, I don't even know what that statement means. I'd have more respect for them to just say, hey we messed up, let's keep it moving.

For everyone criticizing the team after all those calls, my vibe is very different. That team got defeated like, we gotta beat Texas and the ref now?

I still don't think Texas was the better team.
