Slow starts and penalties

Have been the most consistent components of Drink's program.
Until he lets his coordinator be more multiple in the run game, the slow starts are going to continue.
The penalties are a culture thing at this point. They might have a "brotherhood" but they arent holding each other accountable for screwing up and that is all on the HC.

You didnt notice the multiple run concepts used in the first half and throughout the game?
They also cut the penalties in half today. You dont think that mattered?

Drink reads the Rant for all of Nukes observations, obviously.

The quote below is from my post on 9/28 on a different thread.

The TE insert play is worthless unless you build play action off it.
Goodie's TD was play action off TE insert.

And this offense still cant get it done vs a team with a pulse. They had plenty of chances to get and extend the lead. Im out.

He got out of the way of his coordinator and QB coach.....today. They put a lot of things on tape today that weren't there the first month of the season. Do you trust Drink to do it two weeks in a row? Against a guy that has taken Drink to the woodshed every time they have played?

We were all pretty irate. I just hope Drink has finally learned to let his coordinators tactically operate their units, and instead concentrate on clock management, time out usage, and overall strategy and motivation.
I need to see more than one game though. That's a huge ego to be dealing with.

Nuke provides more football insight than any poster in any Mizzou forums...
I was actually disappointed when he said he was out. I was where he was last week too.
But love reading his insight ...
So STFU

This is exactly where I am at. I am glad they got the dub but it will be quickly forgotten if aTm hammers them for the 3rd game in a row.

I appreciate the kind words but no one needs to STFU. I dont mind being questioned. It encourages more ball talk, which is what im all about.

Agreed.
That was the Blantons speaking up ...
Btw, I think Drink might finally be growing up as a coach. Best play calling in years ... may Chip keep it going next week

Let’s keep this momentum rolling. Very pleased to see how the team came out mentally tough and ready.
They responded so well after Craig missed that FG and Florida tied it up.
Didn’t miss a beat and shoved the ball right up their arse. Nice work today Tigers.

I missed most of the game and am watching the recording. The analyst just said last week's final drive fiasco was the first time Simmons had ever tried to run a two minute drive, college or high school.
Still not an excuse for the ineptitude, but Simmons did execute a nice two minute at the end of the 1st half.

Me as well. Nuke provides excellent information. It was said tongue firmly in cheek.
Carry on.
