QB play- B+: Simmons has had 4 really good games and 2 really meh games. The passing concepts dont always attack the formational weakness. This part of the offense has left some meat on the bone taking shots outside the numbers instead of the seam and deep middle.
RB- A: Roberts is having a special season. There's no depth behind him. Hope he stays healthy.
WR- B: Lee and DO are carrying this grade. Lanier and Fowlkes need to get reps over Goodie and Montgomery. I had higher expectations for Montgomery. Terry cant get on the field.
TE- F : Norfleet, James and Harris are 3 of the 5 lowest rated offensive players on the roster. A good TE would elevate the offense and take pressure off Lee and DO. I dont think that guy is on the roster right now.
OL- C : For as consistent as this line is in pass pro, they are equally inconsistent run blocking. They are allowing 6.6 TFLs per game but have only allowed 6 sacks on the season.
DL- A: Early, Blackwell, and Harbin have done an amazing job. The defense is ahead of the 2025 unit in TFLs and Sacks per game and it is driven by the line play.
LB: B-: The first 4 games had way too many missed tackles. The last two games have been lights out.
CB: B: Florence is allowing a 25% Completion Rate. Graves and Laulea are each allowing 53.3%. Graves and Laulea are both willing tacklers in run support. Pogue has done a solid job rebuilding his room.
Safety: C+: Banner is playing at an All Conference level. Dotson and KLF have added a lot to the defense. KLF offers a little more in coverage but they have combined to create 13 stops in run support. Greco is the lowest rated starter on the defense by a considerable amount and kills this position group grade for me.
Special Teams: D-: so many blocked kicks. Punting was solid until yesterday.

Sorry, not mentioning Dont'a Simpson kills me.

Webb, Dowell, Gracial and Marshall are filling gaps on 1st and 2nd down so Simpson and the DEs can pin it back on 3rd down. It isnt a singular effort up front. Every DT in the primary rotation has a run defense grade over 67.

Not sure there is a bigger disappointment in recent history than Norfleet.

Its the entire room IMO. They have failed to get a dude in 5 consecutive classes. Maybe Jensen bucks the trend.

Norfleet's movement is stiff and lacks the explosiveness that most SEC TE's have. Every time we see him out there getting a ball thrown his way we are holding our breath hoping he doesn't get hurt. Most of those times Austin tries to throw him open but Norfleet has failed to get to his spot because he can't shed blockers. I'm all for letting the next guy get a shot or converting a bigger WR for that role.

I had high hopes for Jude James, but he hasn't even been thrown to once that I can recall.

I would only add Fowlkes has improved the punt return position

2 concerns from the A&M game. Why are you running Simmons with the lead? He needs no reason to get hurt. Why didn't zollars get snaps, When we were up? we're one shot away (simmons took 3 sat) from needing him. And he's not getting any reps, that's very reckless coaching

Zollers and Edward’s needs to see the field and why did we stop throwing the ball
Posted on 10/12/26 at 12:40 pm to Bobbybro
I'm not gonna pick nits. We stopped throwing because the ONLY possible way aTm was winning that game is if Simmons threw a couple pick 6s.

Nah. He is a mess in pass pro and hasn't read stretch well enough to deserve carries.

Probably because our league-leading RB was rushing for 200+ yards.

The home field is messing with Lee and his cleats. He's slipping and getting off balance in the middle of running.
Speaking of cleats, anyone notice that one time Mizzou commit Morrow wore Mizzou colored cleats? He ran for 6 for 14 yards.

I agree. Edward's needs to establish his timing with the OL. If Roberts takes 1 bad hit, Edward's won't be ready. He ran for over 1000 last year, but that was for Houston Baptist. He needs to se SEC speed.
I remember Shraders Junior year, he looked bad. But we all know what happened the Senior year. Getting that timing down helps.

Hope you are right. We need someone to step up as a 3rd down back to start giving Roberts more breather snaps. We can't afford for him to get worn down with the schedule coming at us.

Unfortunately Roberts is the 3rd down back because of his pass protection and size. Everyone after him is 5'8". Losing that kid to the portal to Louisville hurt with Hardy going down.

He has 17 carries in 3 games on the season. He would have got considerably more than that if he stayed.

Craig leads the country with 4 FGM of 50+ yards.
Mizzou has a net punting average of 42 yards, has allowed only EIGHT return yards, and has 11 punts inside the 20.

Mizzou has one of the worst KO coverage units and the worst FG protection unit in the country. Both have resulted in field position losses and multipoint swings.
Craig is 95th(Tied for last) in the country in FG%
4 FGs and a couple of punts dont outweigh that.
