The guy is a corrosive psychopath. His personality works against anything positive his coaching skills bring to the table. Who would want to be around that lunatic for any reason?

Orgeron knew he had been a coach at LSU in the past. Might have been easier to hire him back as a DC and that he is comfortable at LSU. Orgeron probably thought he would be a good fit for LSU. He still might be. Who knows? It is only one game and it is a weird season so anything can be good or bad.
