Anyone with a brain could see this coming years ago as soon as they expanded past 4. Guess what, it''ll probably expand again.

It's all about money. Common sense, tradition, history, etc be damned. All that matters is how much money can we squeeze out of this decaying body before it goes completely 6 feet under.

NIT tournament call it The Best Of The Rest.
Top 4 teams get to pick a new conference to compete in.

Maybe take the bottom programs and play it out. You win you are out. Last team gets forced to FCS

College football has taken a turn for the worse. I swear if an 8-4 team makes the playoff

Sankey should demand a 18 game schedule
Let's trump the NFL

Stanky can’t make a decision. Allowed UF and LSU to play tug of war before Hurricane Matthew when all he had to do was tell UF, you’ll play the game at a neutral site or LSU, your choice. Then, treating LSU #JustDifferent from other programs when dealing with pros. The guy sucks arse.

I hate to burst your bubble but last year there were multiple 3 loss teams that made it in a 12 team playoff.

Double the playoff field and it is a bonafide take it ot he bank CERTAINTY there will be 4-loss teams that make it. Real question to me is if a 7-5 team will ever make it

In any given year there are not more than 4 teams worth a shite in college football. The first round would be no different than watching the Poulon Weekwacker or any other pre New Years Day bowl games.

This

All it does is dilute bigger regular season games

Of course another championship would warm our hearts but how would it compare to other championships? Would it feel complete? Im not even sure what the record would be going in at 8-4 but a 4 loss championship is weaker than Alabamas covid yr shite.

People side eyed LSUs 07 championship for over a decade over 2 losses then Ohio state did it.

The product/game is too diluted as is. The only sport where the regular season actually matters until it doesnt by a bunch of min/maxxing suits. Exclusivity made it special, not opening the fricking floodgates.

Whole thing should be like euro soccer: win and you move to the top division, lose and you fall to the lower division.
Performance based, every game matters, and better fan experience

And raise injury risk in games with near foregone conclusions. Injuries that will ultimately effect the outcome of the inevitable top seeds playing in the semi finals or finals.

With expanded playoffs should come contracted schedules and elimination of CCGs. Back to 10 games in the regular season. The extra games are just filled with mismatches anyway that carry the same unnecessary risks as an early round 24 team playoff

Sankey sits in the cuck chair while the B1G and corporate media get it on. He is allowed sloppy seconds if he is a good boy

Big 10 doesn't mind the 24 team playoff now that they got things how they want them. NIL buyinh SEC talent. And SEC beating the hell out of each other while Big10 plays cupcakes and coast in fully healthy.
