Repeating what some sports writer said is pretty weak. Ewers got Texas into semi-finals two years in a row, no other qb did this, and he was injured. Not saying Ewers was great, just that the coach stood by his players, and they did well

The same thing happened in high-school. He would dominate the small schools during the season but when the playoffs started he looked below average.

A lot of people are about to eat crow that have been crowning him as the savior. Physically, he has talent, but a lot of players have talent physically. Just because he's a Manning, doesn't mean he's anywhere near Peyton or Eli. Remember, that's not their kid. Also, the father had already talked about him barely ever seeing Peyton and Eli. He saw them a handful of times a year. Not enough to learn how to read a defense. He'll struggle. He'll struggle a lot. He'll have some wow plays. He'll also have terrible first year starter mistakes.

I agree..somewhat. Eli and Peyton where exact opposites! Peyton played MVP football during the season and would dissappear in the SB, if he made it (Brady says hi). Eli would do just enough to get to the SB. But he dominated when he got there! He beat Brady..twice! He made the plays that needed to be made!

I'm not buying the Arch hype either (I saw him on ESPN in a high school game and he looked pedestrian) but nobody knows. This Saturday at Ohio State will be a big test.

The thing about Arch is, based on what we've seen so far, nobody can really give him a true evaluation. He could be vastly overated or he could be as good as people say he is. That's why we play the games
