He ain't that good, that's why.

he is very fortunate, because he was highly overrated in college. He is not that good and will never be a steady starting QB in the NFL. His best hope is to have a Matt Flynn like career, although Flynn was a much better QB.

Iirc this was the guy that really started the whole nil/portal mess. At least with major programs.

Same kid that sat out his senior year of high school to get NIL money from OSU and never played a down. No thanks.

His nil money was from a family friend's kombucha company, not OSU. He only went to OSU because state of texas didn't allow him to get paid yet.

Member playing a full season in college and playing in a one read offense will land you exactly where Ewers finds himself.

For those that don't know- Quinn turned down an 8 million dollar NIL offer.

I feel like this is indicative of how ridiculous NIL is. I’d think the NFL is a lot better at evaluating value than idiots throwing money at 247 ratings.

Excellent point, let's watch now what happens with Underwood

He would have made more in NIL

I give him credit. He didn't want to do the portal again because he wanted to be remembered as a Texas Longhorn. Can't stay in college forever.

Money might beg to differ with you

People are down voting you but I tend to agree with you. Especially after the OSU debacle.
user avatar
Is this a normal 7th round contract?
user avatar
Now it is. League min of 750k.

So let’s see the agreement.

Exactly. The next signed NIL contractual agreement released in its entirety will be the first. I find it fascinating that people are quick to question whether a game is fixed yet assume these NIL deals that have never been made public are gospel.

Had to take a pay cut

He is guaranteed only $131,576. So, if he gets cut by the Dolphins in the preseason, he's probably looking at a practice squad situation or would sign somewhere for league minimum for 1 year. That appears to be a pay cut from college.

It's good he's already made his money. I don't think the NFL will be kind to him.

Invest wisely, learn the playbook from a dynamic coach try to hang on as backup and eventually coach.

And leave the game with a still intact head, body, and mind.

Not bad!

Ok, you use the default number of your starting QB? Makes sense!

I thought Tua was #1? I wonder how much it cost him to get that number?

Probably just a default number like when you get drafted and hold up the #1 jersey. Might not have a number yet.
