It will give you some bouyancy so will help but it's still a long swim. And if everyone else is using them if you aren't a strong swimmer you'll still get smoked. Practice getting it off when wet, it can be tricky and frustrating when you are trying to get on the bike quickly....

Could be an app creating temp files and not deleting them when it closes. Tivimate was doing this on my FireTV for a while but they finally fixed it . If you go into your Manage Apps setting it will show you how much space each app is taking up and you should see which one is eating storage....
