Lane Kiffin Calls Out Alabama For Their New Strategy
© Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports
Over a week before he faces Alabama, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin is talking about how they've gotten stronger by taking advantage of the transfer portal now that players can transfer once and immediately become eligible,...
quote:

“Now they go to cherry-pick players for any holes they may have like an Ohio State receiver [Jameson Williams] or a Tennessee linebacker [Henry To’o To’o],” Kiffin said, via ESPN. “So now, it’s like not only do they get the best draft picks but they get to go into free agency and take players, so it really is going to set up one of the most talented teams ever, which is what we’re getting ready to play.”

He's 100% correct Saban is great and a LOT of it is because he's got the best players yearly.

Ole Miss gonna roll Bama. Too much offense. Bama can’t keep up.

Why the hell aren't we recruiting O Line men and areas of need and getting them NIL contracts? It's legal and why are we last to the show? Use the new sponsorship by the casino to make it happen.

Because we have an inept head football coach and Alabama does not. Next question…

Because Louisiana is poor.

Regardless, Kiffin comes off as whiney here.

Nick Saban warned people this would happen.

Exactly.. paraphrasing..he said with the transfer portal...bad players would leave the good teams for more playing time...and then they would be replaced by good players wanting to transfer in to good teams

I get the feeling Lane is building up Saban and Bama as the greatest just to make him look even better if they beat them.

blame the NCAA, it's their rule. Saban's just responding in the way that best benefits his team - as he should.

Saban tried to tell these people.

If only people had tried to warn them...

We ALL knew this was going to happen. Teams develop kids, and their Junior or senior year they go to team who has playoff chance and prestige to make sure they get more notoriety

This is a microcosm for America. The more you try to regulate things, the more you enable exploiters. Saban is just laughing at the rest of us while the Lanes of the world are getting their excuses ready.

But at least we aren’t inhibiting the freedom of these poor cfb players anymore.

He is absolutely correct in this statement.
