Surely after he reflected on his last recommendation in a similar situation (Houston Nutt), he realized that may not be his forte, let the admin make the hire and just ride it with the 500k UA consulting role.

Before he ends his introductory Press Conference at AL in 2007, Ms. Terry basically forces him to share thoughts on his special relationship with LSU. When he takes the LSU job all he needs to do is just give the same exact speech, flip flop the teams.
